Are you a qualified breastfeeding counsellor with 12 months + experience?
We are currently collecting details of those who are interested in providing a “Milk Matters” service in their area (please check your organisation allows you to undertake private work)
Work as a Milk Matters specialist is to be completely separate to any voluntary role you have (we do not allow cross referral). Many however tell us they are currently unable to offer 1 2 1 visits or private consultations because of financial constraints.
Thie means some very good counsellors have to give up their volunteer position in order to return to paid employment – we hope Milk Matters will enable more counsellors to remain within the field of breastfeeding support.
Profits will be donated back to the voluntary orgs and to others striving to improve breastfeeding services.
